Jennifer Newman-Gaewsky, M.D.

I earned my M.D. from Wake Forest School of Medicine, followed by Adult Psychiatry Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. I offer comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and therapy in my practice. I have experience with a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic, Family Therapy, and Exposure-based approaches including Prolonged Exposure—to support patients at every stage of life. I particularly enjoy using targeted therapeutic approaches to treat anxiety disorders in individuals of all ages, including nighttime separation anxiety and sleep-related anxiety in children and adolescents. I have published peer-reviewed articles and presented research on many topics ranging from early detection of mental health conditions, autism spectrum disorder, substance use disorders, and functional gastrointestinal disorders.
