Insurance & Payment Information
I am currently an out-of-network provider for all insurance plans. This means:
- Payment is due in full at the time of service
- I will provide you with a detailed superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement
- Many PPO plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services
- FSA and HSA accounts can typically be used to pay for psychiatric services
Please check with your insurance provider about your specific out-of-network benefits for psychiatric services, including their reimbursement rates and any deductibles that must be met.
Good Faith Estimates
In compliance with the No Surprises Act, I provide Good Faith Estimates of expected charges for all self-pay patients. This estimate includes:
- Anticipated costs for your initial evaluation
- Projected costs for recommended follow-up appointments
- Any additional services that may be recommended
Please note that actual charges may differ based on clinical needs that emerge during treatment. You will always be informed of any significant changes to your treatment plan and associated costs.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
I understand that circumstances may arise that require you to reschedule your appointment. My cancellation policy is as follows:
- Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance
- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee
- Exceptions may be made for genuine emergencies or unexpected illness on a case-by-case basis
Consistent attendance is an important part of successful psychiatric treatment. Please contact me as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.
Telehealth Requirements
For telehealth appointments, please note the following important requirements:
- You must physically be within the state of Tennessee during all telehealth sessions, as required by state licensing laws
- You need a private, quiet space where confidentiality can be maintained
- A reliable internet connection is required for video sessions
- A backup phone number should be provided in case of technical difficulties
- All telehealth sessions are conducted through HIPAA-compliant platforms
If you plan to travel outside Tennessee, please inform me in advance so we can schedule in-person appointments or make appropriate arrangements.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Your privacy is of utmost importance. All services comply with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards of psychiatric practice. A detailed Notice of Privacy Practices is available upon request.
If you have any questions about these policies, please don't hesitate to contact me.
